Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Hybrid (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warsaw, – 1-2 times per week in the office)

Rate: Up to 130 PLN/h

Form of contract: Cooperation agreement directly with Optiveum

About the role

Optiveum is currently looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will take the reins of a highly innovative, AI-driven application modernization project focused on AI tech-stack conversion at an enterprise scale.

Please note that Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party for this role. We will guide you through the process, and you will sign the cooperation agreement directly with us.

Your responsibilities:

• Planning and managing delivery activities, including timelines, dependencies, resources, risks, and financials.

• Monitoring and reporting delivery progress and risks in a timely manner, proactively identifying issues, and escalating them when needed to ensure predictable execution.

• Upholding project management discipline by promoting a strong delivery culture.

• Coordinating across engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on delivery objectives and technical direction.

What we expect from you:

• Must-have: Proven track record of leading AI-driven application modernization initiatives, including code conversion, automated refactoring, and application remediation at an enterprise scale. (Please ensure this experience is clearly described in your CV).

• Proven track record in leading complex IT Programmes.

• Experience in defining structured governance on different levels of the organization and facilitating project Steering, which includes senior-level leadership.

• Ability to scope, drive, and govern delivery initiatives.

• Ability to translate high-level plans and goals into executable delivery plans, working closely with Subject Matter Experts, architects, data teams, and portfolio management.

• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Very good financial and resource management skills.

• Very good analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.

• Advanced presentation skills, especially using Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Excel).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and drive follow-up actions with stakeholders at all levels.

• Fluent English skills (both spoken and written).
