About the Client
We are partnering with an innovative company in the financial services sector that operates within a fast-paced, AI-augmented engineering model.
The Role & Expectations
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to establish and drive modern quality practices across multiple engineering pods. You will build the automated foundation that enables teams and AI tools to move quickly and securely.
Core Tech Stack: Quality Assurance, API Testing, AI-assisted tools.
Experience: Strong background in test automation across the full testing lifecycle and modern test pyramid.
Frameworks & Tooling: Hands-on experience with contemporary testing frameworks, CI/CD quality integration, and writing/maintaining test code.
Performance Testing: Experience with scalability and resilience tools (such as k6 or similar).
Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of contract testing for distributed, API-driven, and event-based systems.
Domain Knowledge: Awareness of regulatory, security, and operational resilience expectations within financial services is highly desirable.
Languages: Excellent communication skills in English.
What You Will Do
Define and own the quality strategy across supported pods, covering unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, and resilience testing.
Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and quality gates integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Review and validate AI-assisted development outputs, helping teams adopt effective quality practices.
Plan and execute non-functional testing aligned with DORA operational resilience expectations.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure specifications are clear, testable, and meet acceptance criteria.
Establish quality metrics, observability practices, and continuous improvement feedback loops.
Coach and support transferring bank engineers in adopting modern automation approaches.
What is Offered
Salary: 4 000 - 5 000 EUR
Type of Work: 100% Remote (Candidates must be based in the EU).
Contract Type: B2B with Optiveum Poland
Business Travel: Occasional travel required (typically 3–4 days every 1.5 months within the EU)
