SAP FI Senior Consultant & Implementation Project Lead

Rate: Up to 6,000 EUR/month

The Role
This isn't your typical SAP FI role. We need someone who can seamlessly shift between hands-on SAP FI configuration and project leadership—one moment troubleshooting technical issues, the next coordinating vendors or presenting to finance leadership.
You'll spend: 50% on technical SAP FI configuration | 25% managing vendors & project coordination | 25% on requirements gathering & stakeholder management

Must-Haves
Technical Expertise:
8+ years hands-on SAP FI/CO configuration (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting)
Minimum 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations in a lead technical role
Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues and deliver quality solutions
Project & Business Skills:
Proven experience managing vendor relationships and holding partners accountable
Track record gathering requirements from finance stakeholders (from accountants to CFOs)
Ability to translate business processes into technical SAP configurations
Strong presentation skills—comfortable explaining technical concepts to C-level
Maturity:
You don't need hand-holding—you independently own both technical and business aspects
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions
Natural leadership presence with both technical teams and business stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Configure SAP FI modules and design integrations with CO, MM, SD
Lead coordination with external implementation vendors and partners
Facilitate requirements workshops and document business processes
Review vendor deliverables and manage project timelines
Present solutions to senior management and build stakeholder relationships
Mentor junior team members and ensure quality standards
Nice-to-Haves
S/4HANA Finance migration experience
PMP or PRINCE2 certification
Multiple industry verticals experience
German language skills
