For their Warsaw based Competence Centre, we assist them in finding an additional person to take up the role of a

SAP BASIS Team Leader

this role is mostly office based in the centre of Warsaw and is based on the contract of employment (umowa o pracę)

about the role:

• Manage Global SAP Basis Team
• Manage external vendor delivering Basis services
• Define Basis Team members development paths, yearly targets
• Escalation Management on Project Issues, CRs, Incidents or Service Requests
• Act as a Basis Team single point of contact  external vendors
• Support recruiting process for internal staff within the Clients processes and tools
• Onboarding of new team members (HW/SW, introduction program etc.)
• Team training on internal processes (CATS, vacation request, project methodology etc.)
• Regular Performance Reviews (in MAGs) and goal setting in Projects, Releases, Support and MAGs
• Define future potential and development paths for Team members
• Resolve HR issues with employee, Leadership team / HR
• Organize trainings within Solution, Build, Support Team
• Coach and support trainees
• Liaise with SAP CC Build Teams on Basis Team Project/CRs engagement
• Project- and CR resource staffing, capacity planning and conflict resolution
• Ensure Basis Team acts according to agreed SLA
• Install, manage, monitor, tune & troubleshoot SAP systems and databases in accordance with defined SLAs
• Manage & monitor operating systems on all SAP Systems
• Provide SAP Basis Application, Database & Operating system L2 and L3 support to SAP Teams
• Work with IT Operations team members to design and implement controls for new technologies, systems & their supporting infrastructure to ensure systems are available and recoverable in accordance with our service level agreements
• Availability to work selected weekends to perform off-hours maintenance to ensure our systems are available and secure
• Availability to participate in a rotating on-call program for after-hours emergency support
• Collaborate with SAP Development & Functional teams to ensure custom programs are protected in accordance to the development policies & guidelines

About your previous experience

• 5+ years of internal and/or external Teams management
• 4+ years experience in the Information Technology Field
• 2+ years of relational database design, maintenance, performance tuning, upgrading and administering
• 2+ years SAP Basis and operating system support in Windows environments
• 2+ years SAP Basis support including transport management, patching, enhancement packages and version upgrades
• Demonstrated experience implementing and migrating large scale SAP enterprise wide applications and databases to new platforms and versions

Nice to have:

• SAP Certification
• Experience with Active Directory
• Experience with SAP HANA
• Experience with SAP Security Design, Implementation and Administration
• Experience with Segregation of Duties resolution
• Experience/certification with SAP GRC AC
