Role

Application Modernization Architect, 

is a person who has good experience in application design, development, and modernization. Person will lead & mentor the application modernization projects & teams as defined in role description and responsibilities below.

The chosen candidate will play the following roles and take on the below responsibilities.

As application consultant: 

• Engage with clients to conduct a TCO/ROI study to come up with the value proposition for application modernization
• Define strategies for cloud adoption of key business applications (focusing on the mapping of business requirements to IT capabilities and align the same).
• Define the approach and plan for application modernization
• Provide architectural leadership to Solution Architects to deliver thoughtful IT solutions to the business

As Lead Architect for project delivery: 

• Engage with clients to design applications based on business requirements covering Applications, Data, Cloud Technology & Application Authentication & Authorization.
•  Performing quality review of project deliverables. Lead work sessions and client discussion.
• Spearheading the complete Solution Architecture, Digital Transformation, Cloud Modernization & Architecture, Software Development and Performance Tuning
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost-effective application designs by using microservices patterns and best practices, 
• Design the migration and modernization strategy, transitional process necessary for application to be on boarded on cloud-based architecture that includes APIs, microservices and containers.
• Offering and capability development
• Create application migration and modernization offerings based on market demand and develop delivery capabilities for its execution.
• Define reference architecture for new offerings and provide key differentiator inputs to offering teams in terms of new technology adoption in application area.

Key competences

• Work experience: Overall 15+ years of relevant IT experience, with minimum 10 years of experience in area of Application Design, Development & Modernization (Refer section – Experience and Technical Skills below)
• Tech Stack: .Net framework, .Net core, WCF, MVC 3/4/5, C#, Asp.Net, Web API, 12 Factor. Application Design, Nuget, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / Google / IBM), IIS, JIRA, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GIT, NEXUS
